As many of you know, I've recently been working on getting SPM V4.3 to play nice with AMD, and have created a performance guide for AMD users
which improves performance by a fair amount.
I've been averaging around 30 frames in cities and 40ish outdoors with 60 inside, which is pretty godawful for a R9 390 and i5 6600.
AMD is rather known for having poor performance in certain games, especially Bethesda one. I don't think the poor performance is because of the pack, as Nvidia cards perform excellently. SPM is truly a work of art, and Rotten has done an excellent job.
I've officially narrowed it down to a single mod. That's right. AMD card perform badly because of one single mod on this pack. After disabling this mod (which, by the way, is optional and can be disabled with a single click), I get around 50 FPS in cities and around 55-60 outdoors.
The mod is Gildergreen 4K Parallax.
I'll be editing my performance guide to let AMD users know to disable this mod, but I thought I would make a separate post for it as well in case some Nvidia users would also get such a great performance improvement. It is worth considering downloading a new parallax mod if you disable this one, by the way.
I'd like to thank Rotten for putting this pack together.
It's better to have 5 FPS and the best fucking grass you've ever seen than it is to have 60 FPS and bullshit.
