PostSubject: How to install Skyrim in X drive from steam?   Wed Oct 31, 2018 10:52 pm

I wanted to install Skyrim in the new X drive but steam doesn't allow direct installations in a direct drive.
so, i want to ask how do i install Skyrim in the X drive? do i have to use something like "Steam mover" or something?
don't tell me that everyone here directly brought Skyrim from Bethesda? or Don't even say that you even Have a "Physical Copy" of the game????

If you purchased Skyrim from steam, you must either rename your X:/Skyrim and X:\Skyrim to the property directories per the instructions or try

Per tommysparks
for those with a steam install
create a small drive with the letter X: (only needs to be 10mb or so)
open a command prompt as administrator
type mklink /D "X:\Skyrim" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim"

Now X:\Skyrim will point to your steam install

Copy downloaded the archive and extract with 7Zip to X:\Skyrim
